เมื่อวันที่ 2 กันยายน 2569 อธิบดีกรมการกงสุล ให้การต้อนรับและพบหารือกับนางอะโลนา ฟิชเชอร์-คัมม์ เอกอัครราชทูตรัฐอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและแนะนำตัว

ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านกงสุล โดยเฉพาะเกี่ยวกับการคุ้มครองคนชาติ และการติดตามความคืบหน้าในเรื่องต่าง ๆ ที่ได้หารือกัน โดยเฉพาะผลการประชุมหารือด้านการกงสุลอิสราเอล - ไทย ครั้งที่ 1 เช่น การดูแลสวัสดิภาพและความปลอดภัยของแรงงานไทยในอิสราเอล การจัดให้มีที่หลบภัยอย่างเพียงพอ และการผลักดันกองทุน Deposit Fund (Pikadon) สำหรับแรงงานภาคเกษตร รวมถึงการติดตามสิทธิประโยชน์และเงินชดเชยแก่แรงงานไทย นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านแรงงาน การส่งเสริมให้นักท่องเที่ยวอิสราเอลเคารพกฎหมาย ขนบธรรมเนียมและวัฒนธรรมไทย ตลอดจนการสร้างความเข้าใจอันดีกับชุมชนและภาคประชาสังคมท้องถิ่น

ในปี 2568 มีนักท่องเที่ยวอิสราเอลเดินทางมาประเทศไทยประมาณ 410,125 คน และปัจจุบันมีคนไทยอาศัยอยู่ในอิสราเอลประมาณ 75,325 คน

Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs Receives a Courtesy call by Israeli Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand

On 2 September 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs received a courtsey call by H.E. Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of Israel to the Kingdom of Thailand.

In this occasion, both sides discussed and exchanged views and information on consular cooperation issues, particularly the protection of own nationals, and following up on the issues discussed during the 1st Israel - Thailand Consular Dialogue, with emphasis on the welfare and safety of Thai workers in Israel. Key issues included ensuring adequate access to shelters, advancing the establishment of the Deposit Fund (Pikadon) for Thai agricultural workers, and following up on the rights, benefits, and compensation to which Thai workers are entitled. Furthermore, both sides also exchanged views on efforts to encourage Israeli tourists to respect Thai laws, local customs and culture as well as ways to foster greater mutual understanding and positive engagement with local communities and civil societies in Thailand.

According to 2025 statistics, 410,125 Israeli tourists visited Thailand, and as of now, around 75,325 Thais reside in Israel.
