เมื่อวันที่ 29 มกราคม 2569 กรมการกงสุลให้การต้อนรับคณะนักการทูตแรกเข้าจากสาธารณรัฐ แห่งสหภาพเมียนมา จำนวน 33 คน ที่เดินทางมาอบรมที่ประเทศไทยในหลักสูตร “The 3rd Diplomatic Workshop for New Diplomats from Myanmar” ระหว่างวันที่ 25 - 30 มกราคม 2569 จัดโดย กรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศร่วมกับสถาบันการต่างประเทศเทวะวงศ์วโรปการ
ในโอกาสนี้ นางวรพรรณี ดำรงมณี รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยเลขานุการกรมและผู้อำนวยการกองได้บรรยายสรุปถึงภาพรวมและพัฒนาการที่สำคัญของงานบริการของกรมการกงสุลให้นักการทูตฯ ได้รับทราบ นอกจากนี้ นักการทูตฯ ยังได้มีโอกาสดูงานพื้นที่ให้บริการทำหนังสือเดินทาง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ตู้ Kiosk ทำหนังสือเดินทางที่ประชาชนสามารถทำหนังสือเดินทางด้วยตนเองอย่างสะดวกและเลือกรูปได้ โดยไม่มีการจำกัดเวลา กิจกรรมครั้งนี้เป็นการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอันดีระหว่างไทยและเมียนมา
On 29 January 2026, the Department of Consular Affairs welcomed a delegation of 33 diplomats from Myanmar who participated in the “The 3rd Diplomatic Workshop for New Diplomats from Myanmar” course during 25 - 30 January 2026. The course is co-organized by Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA).
Mrs. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, also with the Secretary of the Department and all relevant Division, briefed the delegates on the overview and developments of the Department’s e-services. The delegates also had an opportunity to observe passport kiosks, where people can conveniently self-record their photo and biometrics information for passport renewal with no time limit. The diplomatic training course indeed promotes cordial diplomatic relations between Thailand and Myanmar.
