เมื่อวันที่ 22 ตุลาคม 2568 นายบัญชา ยืนยงจงเจริญ รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยนายสัณห์ อรุณรักษ์ติชัย ผู้อำนวยการกองตรวจลงตราและเอกสารเดินทางคนต่างด้าว กรมการกงสุล เข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือเพื่อพิจารณาผลกระทบจากมาตรการ Visa Free (การยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว ทำงานอันมีลักษณะจำเป็นเร่งด่วน หรือติดต่อธุรกิจระยะสั้นไม่เกิน 60 วัน (ผ.60)) ร่วมกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ กก. มท. สมช. สตม. และ ททท. โดยมีนายอรรถกร ศิริลัทธยา รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาเป็นประธาน
ที่ประชุมฯ หารือเรื่องผลกระทบจากมาตรการ Visa Free (ผ.60) ในมิติต่าง ๆ โดยรองอธิบดีฯ ได้ชี้แจงข้อมูลและข้อสังเกตของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบจากมาตรการดังกล่าว ตลอดจนแจ้งเรื่องคณะกรรมการนโยบายการตรวจลงตรา ซึ่งกระทรวงฯ อยู่ระหว่างเสนอให้นายกรัฐมนตรีมีคำสั่งจัดตั้งขึ้นใหม่ และจะนำข้อหารือจากที่ประชุมในครั้งนี้เสนอให้คณะกรรมการนโยบายการตรวจลงตราชุดใหม่พิจารณาอย่างรอบด้านและเป็นไปตามนโยบายรัฐบาลต่อไป

DDG of Department of Consular Affairs attends a meeting to discuss the impacts of the 60-Day Visa-Free Measure
On 22 October 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, together with Mr. Sunh Arunrugstichai, Director of Visa and Travel Documents Division, attended a meeting chaired by Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, to discuss the impacts of the 60-Day Visa-Free Measure (for tourism, business engagements, or urgent/ad-hoc work) with relevant agencies, such as the Ministry of Interior, the National Security Council, the Immigration Bureau, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The discussion on pros and cons of the Visa Free Measure in various aspects was carried out during the meeting. DDG Bancha provided information and observations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s perspective. He also informed the meeting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will propose the Prime Minister to give an order to re-establish the Visa Policy Committee. The discussion results from this meeting will be submitted to the new Visa Policy Committee for comprehensive consideration and to ensure compliance with government’s policies.
