เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2569 อธิบดีกรมการกงสุล ให้การต้อนรับและพบหารือกับนายฮารี ปราโบโว เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและแนะนำตัว

ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลในประเด็นต่าง ๆ เกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านกงสุล อาทิ การคุ้มครองคนชาติ การตรวจลงตราและการเข้าเมือง แผนการศึกษาดูงานการดำเนินงานภายใต้อนุสัญญา Apostille ของอินโดนีเซีย เพื่อเตรียมการเข้าเป็นภาคีอนุสัญญาดังกล่าวของไทยภายในปี 2570 รวมถึงการเตรียมการด้านสารัตถะสำหรับการประชุมหารือด้านการกงสุล อินโดนีเซีย – ไทย ที่ฝ่ายอินโดนีเซียพร้อมจะเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมดังกล่าวเป็นครั้งแรกในช่วงไตรมาสแรกของปี 2570

ในปี 2568 มีนักท่องเที่ยวอินโดนีเซียเดินทางมาประเทศไทยประมาณ 856,000 คน และปัจจุบันมีคนไทยอาศัยอยู่ในอินโดนีเซียประมาณ 1,500 คน

Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs received a courtesy call by the Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand

On 14 August 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand.

In this occasion, both sides discussed and exchanged information on various consular cooperation issues, including the protection of own nationals, visa & immigration, and the study-visit plan to learn on the implementation of the Apostille Convention from Indonesian authorities as for preparation for Thailand's accession to the convention by early 2027, as well as the possible topics of discussion at the 1st Indonesia - Thailand Consular Dialogue, which will be hosted by Indonesia in the first quarter of 2027.

According to 2025 statistics, approximately 856,000 Indonesian tourists visited Thailand and, as of now, around 1,500 Thais reside in Indonesia.
