สถานเอกอัครราชทูตได้ประกาศให้มีการออกเสียงลงคะแนนเลือกตั้งนอกราชอาณาจักรทั้งหมด 3 วิธี ได้แก่ 1) ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต 2) ออกเสียงผ่านหน่วยเลือกตั้งเคลื่อนที่ ณ วัดพุทธรังษี เมืองฮวาซอง และ 3) ลงคะแนนทางไปรษณีย์ เพื่อรองรับคนไทยอาศัยอยู่ในเกาหลีใต้จำนวนกว่า 170,000 คน

 

อนึ่ง การเลือกตั้งนอกราชอาณาจักร เมื่อปี 2566 มีผู้ลงทะเบียนใช้สิทธิในเกาหลีใต้ 3,906 ราย โดยในครั้งนี้ คาดว่าจะมีจำนวนผู้มาใช้สิทธิเพิ่มมากขึ้น

Department of Consular Affairs Campaigns to Boost Overseas Voting by Thais in the Republic of Korea

 

On 19 December 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongcharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, together with Mr. Wararoj Engsombun, Head of the Overseas Voting Coordination Center, and the delegation from the Department of Consular Affairs, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, and held discussions with the Embassy’s consular section, led by Mr. Krist Mekriengkrai, Head of Consular Section, Counsellor and Ms. Kanticha Laicharernkit, Consul/ Second Secretary.The discussions were focused on the organization of overseas voting and providing information to encourage greater voter turnout among Thai nationals in the Republic of Korea.

 

The Royal Thai Embassy announced that there will be three voting methods for the upcoming overseas election: 1) Voting at the Royal Thai Embassy 2) Voting at the mobile unit at Buddharangsee Temple in Hwaseong City and 3) Voting by postal ballot. These are intended to accommodate more than 170,000 Thai nationals residing in the Republic of Korea.

 

During the 2023 overseas voting, 3,906 Thai nationals in the Republic of Korea registered to vote and for the upcoming overseas voting, a higher voter turnout is expected.
