เมื่อวันที่ 16 มิถุนายน 2569 นายบัญชา ยืนยงจงเจริญ รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมกับนางสาววิชญา สินธุเสน ผู้อำนวยการกองหนังสือเดินทาง ให้การต้อนรับคณะนักศึกษา จำนวน 30 คน จากจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ซึ่งมาศึกษาดูงาน ณ สำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางชั่วคราว ปทุมวัน
รองอธิบดีบัญชาฯ บรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับงานด้านการกงสุล ภายใต้นโยบาย "การทูตเพื่อประชาชน" พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองและความคิดเห็นในมิติต่าง ๆ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจในประเด็นการต่างประเทศ และภารกิจงานกงสุลทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศ ตลอดจนสอดแทรกเกร็ดเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมตัวในการเดินทางไปต่างประเทศเพื่อป้องกันมิให้ตกเป็นเหยื่อมิจฉาชีพ
ผู้อำนวยการกองหนังสือเดินทางได้นำคณะนักศึกษาเยี่ยมชมงานบริการหนังสือเดินทาง และทดลองใช้เครื่องรับคำร้องแบบบริการด้วยตนเอง (Kiosk) ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก
การศึกษาดูงานข้างต้นเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการรับนักศึกษาจากจังหวัดชายแดนใต้มาฝึกอบรมและฝึกปฏิบัติงานที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ปี 2569 รุ่นที่ 20 โดยมีนักศึกษาได้รับการคัดเลือกเข้าร่วมจาก 6 สถาบัน ได้แก่ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี และวิทยาเขตหาดใหญ่ มหาวิทยาลัยฟาฏอนี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏยะลา มหาวิทยาลัยนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์ และมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ วิทยาเขตสงขลา

Department of Consular Affairs welcomes students from Southern Border Provinces for a study visit
On 16 June 2026, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, together with Ms. Wichaya Sinthusen, Director of Passport Division, welcomed a group of 30 students from southern border provinces to a study visit at Temporary Passport Office, Pathumwan.
The Deputy Director-General gave a briefing on consular services led by the policy of Diplomacy for People and exchanged views in various dimensions of international affairs and the consular works on the ground both in Thailand and abroad in order to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of diplomacy. The Deputy Director-General also shared tips on preparing for international travel and protecting from being victims of potential scammers. Afterwards, the Director of Passport Division guided the students to visit the passport service section and try passport self-enrollment kiosks, which attracted a lot of interest.
This educational visit is a part of the 2026 project in obtaining students from the southern border provinces to receive training and practical work experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is the 20th session in this series. The participants have been selected from 6 universities, namely Prince of Songkla University, Pattani and Hat Yai campus, Fatoni University, Yala Rajabhat University, Princess of Naradhiwas University, and Thaksin University, Songkla campus.
