เมื่อวันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 2569 อธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยคณะเจ้าหน้าที่กองสัญชาติและนิติกรณ์ กรมการกงสุล และสำนักบริหารการทะเบียน กรมการปกครอง กระทรวงมหาดไทย ได้ร่วมดำเนินโครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลด้านงานทะเบียนและบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนสำหรับเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล ณ สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย ไทเป
โครงการดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อพัฒนาและส่งเสริมทักษะการปฏิบัติงานของเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ และข้อขัดข้องในการปฏิบัติงาน รวมถึงหารือแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาร่วมกันในงานบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนและ งานทะเบียนต่าง ๆ ระบบทะเบียนออนไลน์ งานนิติกรณ์เอกสาร ตลอดจนรับทราบระเบียบแนวปฏิบัติและข้อกฎหมายใหม่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งจักเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการปฏิบัติงานของนายทะเบียนและเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลในการให้บริการและอำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับคนไทยในไต้หวันซึ่งมีจำนวนมากกว่า 7 หมื่นคน
ในโอกาสนี้ อธิบดีกรมการกงสุลและคณะได้หารือกับนายณรงค์ บุญเสถียรวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย ไทเป และเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุล เกี่ยวกับแนวทางสนับสนุนการดำเนินภารกิจของสำนักงานการค้าฯ เพื่อยกระดับประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการด้านงานทะเบียนและบัตร งานนิติกรณ์เอกสาร รวมถึงงานกงสุล ด้านต่าง ๆ แก่คนไทยในไต้หวัน ตามนโยบาย “การทูตเพื่อประชาชน”

Capability-Building Project on Civil Registration and National ID Services for Thai Consular Officers at Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Taipei
On 9 May 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, led a delegation from the Legalization Division and the Bureau of Registration Administration, the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior to conduct a capacity-building project on civil registration and national ID card for consular officers at Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Taipei.
The project aimed to develop and enhance skills of consular officers, share experiences and best practices, address challenges in their lines of work, and discuss solutions on various issues such as ID card services and civil registration, online registration systems and the legalization process, as well as updated on new relevant regulations and laws. These efforts are intended to benefit the work of the officers in providing consular services and facilitating Thai nationals residing in Taiwan, accounted around 70,000 workers.
On this occasion, the Director-General and his delegation held a meeting with Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Executive Director, Thailand Trade and Economic Office and his consular officers to discuss ways to enhance the efficiency of overall consular services for Thai nationals in Taiwan in accordance with “the People Diplomacy policy”.
