เมื่อวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เยี่ยมคารวะนาย Pranav Ganesh กงสุลใหญ่อินเดียประจำจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ

ทั้งสองฝ่ายย้ำความพร้อมที่จะร่วมกันส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย - อินเดียในด้านที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อประชาชนของทั้งสองประเทศอย่างเต็มที่ ขณะที่หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ ยินดีที่กงสุลใหญ่อินเดียฯ จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและการศึกษาระหว่างสองประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะการแนะนำให้คนอินเดียรู้จักเชียงใหม่และจังหวัดในภาคเหนือของไทยมากขึ้นมาโดยตลอด จึงหวังจะเป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดเชื่อมต่อสำคัญระหว่างหน่วยงานไทยกับสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน ทั้งยังเห็นด้วยที่ไทยและอินเดียมีความสัมพันธ์ที่หยั่งรากลึกมายาวนาน โดยเฉพาะผ่านความเชื่อมโยงด้านศาสนาและศรัทธา ซึ่งกงสุลใหญ่ฯ อินเดียย้ำว่า วัฒนธรรมล้านนามีความคล้ายคลึงกับความเชื่อของอินเดียมาก ทำให้การกระชับความสัมพันธ์ดำเนินอย่างราบรื่นเสมอมา

On 6 October 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, had a courtesy call on Mr. Pranav Ganesh, Consul General of India in Chiang Mai, at the Consulate General.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to jointly promote Thailand - India relations in areas beneficial to the people of both countries. The Chief of Passport Office expressed appreciation for the Consul General’s work in continuously organising activities to promote cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries, especially his continual introduction for Indians to know more about Chiang Mai and the northern Thai provinces. She hopes to become another important link between Thai authorities and the Consulate General in promoting bilateral relations and agreed that Thailand and India has had deep and long-standing relations, particularly through religious and faith-based connections. The Consul General underscored that the Lanna cultures are considerably similar to Indian beliefs, which has helped smooth the bond strengthening between both sides.
