เมื่อวันที่ 5 ต.ค.68 นายมังกร ประทุมแก้ว อธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้แทนกรมการกงสุลและสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมานามา เข้าพบนาย Ebrahim Mohammed Al Meslimani อธิบดีกรมการกงสุลบาห์เรนที่กรมการกงสุลบาห์เรน เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการให้ความคุ้มครองแรงงานไทยในบาห์เรน การให้ความช่วยเหลือแก่คนไทยเมื่อเกิดสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน และประเด็นด้านกงสุลอื่น ๆ
นายอำนาจ พละพลีวัลย์ ผู้อำนวยการกองคุ้มครองและดูแลผลประโยชน์คนไทยในต่างประเทศ กรมการกงสุลพบกับแรงงานไทยที่บริษัท Al Hassanain ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทก่อสร้างขนาดใหญ่ของบาห์เรน รวมทั้งได้เยี่ยมเยียนผู้ประกอบการและพนักงานคนไทยของร้านสปาไทย เพื่อพูดคุยถึงสภาพการทำงานและความเป็นอยู่ในบาห์เรน ผอ.กองคุ้มครองฯ ย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการปฏิบัติตามกฎระเบียบท้องถิ่นเพื่อให้ได้รับสิทธิและความคุ้มครองตามกฎหมาย รวมทั้งป้องกันการถูกเอารัดเอาเปรียบ พร้อมทั้งแนะนำให้คนไทยเตรียมเอกสารสำคัญประจำตัวให้เป็นปัจจุบันเสมอกรณีความจำเป็นเร่งด่วนฉุกเฉิน
คณะฯ ได้เยี่ยม Discover Islam Society องค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไรที่ให้ความช่วยเหลือและให้ความรู้แก่คนต่างชาติในบาห์เรนเรื่องการปรับตัวเข้าสู่สั่งคมบาห์เรนและศาสนาอิสลาม โดยคณะฯ ได้พบและให้คำปรึกษาด้านกงสุลกับกลุ่มคนไทยที่เรียนภาษาอารบิกกับองค์กรฯ ด้วย

Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs Visits Bahrain to exchange views on Protection of Thai Nationals
On 5 October 2025, Mr. Mungkorn Pratoomkaew, Director-General of Department of Consular Affairs, together with representatives from the Department and the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama, met with Mr. Ebrahim Mohammed Al Meslimani, Chief of the Consular Services Sector of Bahrain, at the office of Bahrain’s Consular Services Sector, to discuss consular-related matters, including measures to protect Thai workers in Bahrain and assist Thai nationals in emergency situations, as well as other consular issues.
Mr. Amnat Phalapleewan, Director of Protection for Thai Nationals Abroad Division, Department of Consular Affairsmet met with Thai workers at Al Hassanain Company, one of Bahrain’s major construction firms, as well as Thai spa operators and staff. These meetings provided an opportunity to learn about the working and living conditions of Thai workers in Bahrain. The Director emphasized on the importance for Thai workers to comply with local regulations in order to ensure their legal rights and protections, as well as to prevent exploitation. He also recommended Thai nationals to keep their identification documents up-to-date in case of emergency in the future.
The delegation also visited Discover Islam Society, a non-profit organization that helps foreigners learn Bahrain’s culture and Islam. The delegation had an opportunity to meet Thai nationals attending Arabic lessons at the Society and provided consular advice to them.
