เมื่อวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นายบัญชา ยืนยงจงเจริญ รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล พร้อมด้วยนายอำนาจ พละพลีวัลย์ ผู้อำนวยการกองคุ้มครองและดูแลผลประโยชน์คนไทยในต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมประชุมกับคณะอนุกรรมาธิการติดตามการดำเนินการตามพันธกรณีระหว่างประเทศ การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของสหประชาชาติ และความตกลงทางด้านการค้าและเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ในคณะกรรมาธิการการต่างประเทศ วุฒิสภา เพื่อหารือติดตามสถานการณ์ ความร่วมมือ การคุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพ และปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเดินทางไปทำงานของแรงงานไทยในสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี อิสราเอล และไต้หวัน
การประชุมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นผ่านระบบออนไลน์ โดยมีนายธานี แสงรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโซล นายบุญญฤทธิ์ วิเชียรพันธุ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ และนายณรงค์ บุญเสถียรวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการใหญ่สำนักงานการค้าและเศรษฐกิจไทย เข้าร่วมบรรยายสรุปและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์แรงงานไทยในประเทศ/เขตเศรษฐกิจที่กำกับดูแล ตลอดจนบทบาทในการดูแลแรงงานไทย
รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุลได้ชี้แจงแนวทางการดำเนินงานของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศในการคุ้มครองและดูแลแรงงานไทยในต่างประเทศในมิติต่าง ๆ ทั้งด้านสิทธิ สวัสดิการ ความปลอดภัย และการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิต พร้อมยืนยันถึงความมุ่งมั่นของกระทรวงฯ ในการบูรณาการความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งในและต่างประเทศ เพื่อให้แรงงานไทยได้รับการดูแลอย่างทั่วถึงและยั่งยืน ตลอดจนสร้างความเชื่อมั่นในบทบาทของประเทศไทยในการคุ้มครองคนไทยในทุกสถานการณ์

DDG of the Department of Consular Affairs Attends the meeting of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs regarding Thai Workers in the Republic of Korea , Israel, and Taiwan
On 5 November 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, together with Mr. Amnat Phalapleewan, Director of the Protection of Thai Nationals Abroad Division, participated in a meeting with the Sub-Committee on Monitoring of International Obligations, the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and International Economic and Trade Agreements of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, to discuss and exchange views on the situation, cooperation, welfare protection, and factors affecting the deployment of Thai workers to the Republic of Korea, Israel, and Taiwan.
The meeting was held virtually, with the participation of H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel, and H.E. Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong, Executive Director of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office (Taipei), who provided briefings and shared in-depth information on the situation of Thai workers in their respective jurisdictions and their roles in taking care of Thai workers.
The Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs elaborated on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ approach to protecting and assisting Thai workers overseas, covering various aspects such as welfare, safety, and quality of life enhancement. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s strong commitment to strengthening coordination with relevant agencies both domestically and internationally to ensure comprehensive and sustainable protection for Thai workers abroad, while reinforcing confidence in Thailand’s role in safeguarding its nationals under all circumstances.
