เมื่อวันที่ 30 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวนวรัตน์ ตุ่นทอง และนายธนา ปุสยะไพบูลย์ นักจัดการงานทั่วไป เป็นผู้แทนสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมเวที Northern MICE Expo 2026 จัดโดยสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (TCEB) ที่โรงแรม InterContinental เชียงใหม่ แม่ปิง เพื่อผนึกกำลังสามจังหวัดภาคเหนือ เชียงใหม่ เชียงราย และพิษณุโลก ยกระดับศักยภาพเมือง สร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจ และต่อยอดเศรษฐกิจท้องถิ่น สู่การเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนของอุตสาหกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดงานประชุมสัมมนา แรงจูงใจส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว การประชุมนานาชาติ และงานแสดงสินค้า (MICE) โดยมีนายบุญลือ ธรรมธรานุรักษ์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เป็นผู้แทนจากจังหวัดเชียงใหม่

ภายในงานมีการหารือเพื่อร่วมกำหนดทิศทางการพัฒนาเมืองด้วยกลไก MICE พิธีลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจ (MoU) ว่าด้วย Northern MICE City Declaration เพื่อร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนในพื้นที่ภาคเหนือ และมี ดร.ศุภวรรณ ตีระรัตน์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (TCEB) ร่วมถ่ายทอดวิสัยทัศน์หัวข้อ “Northern MICE Vision: Shift for Impact and Change for Growth” สะท้อนทิศทางการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรม MICE ภาคเหนือที่มุ่งสร้างผลลัพธ์เชิงเศรษฐกิจและสังคม พร้อมยกระดับขีดความสามารถของเมืองให้รองรับการจัดงานระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ

นอกจากนี้ มีเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองจากภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน ครอบคลุมประเด็นด้านการลงทุน เทคโนโลยี ความยั่งยืน ตลอดจนระบบเศรษฐกิจและการค้า ภายใต้แนวคิด “Turning CNX to Tech Business Event” เพื่อร่วมกันมองอนาคตและกำหนดแนวทางให้จังหวัดภาคเหนือก้าวสู่การเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางสำหรับการจัดงานธุรกิจและอีเวนต์ด้านเทคโนโลยี ทั้งยังมีบริเวณจัดแสดงสินค้าและบริการจากผู้ประกอบการกว่า 50 บูธ พร้อมพื้นที่ Networking ที่มีผู้ขายกว่า 50 โต๊ะ เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบการ นักลงทุน หน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน ได้พบปะ แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล และต่อยอดความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจ ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสในการสร้างเครือข่ายและขยายตลาดให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการในพื้นที่

On 30 September 2026, Ms. Nawarat Tunthong and Mr. Thana Pusayapaibul, General Administrative Officers, represented the Chiang Mai Passport Office in the Northern MICE Expo 2026, which was hosted by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) at the InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping hotel. The event was aimed to join forces between three northern provinces: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Phitsanulok to enhance provincial potentials, create business opportunities, and build on local economies towards sustainable growth of business tourism for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE). Mr. Boonlue Thamtharanurak, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, reprented Chiang Mai at the event.

The event featured a discussion to jointly determine city development directions through the MICE mechanism, a signing ceremony of the MoU on Northern MICE City Declaration to advance northerm areas, and Dr. Supawan Teerarat, TECB President, shared her views under the tooic “Northern MICE Vision: Shift for Impact and Change for Growth.” Her visions reflected directions how to develop the MICE industry in the north of Thailand and create economic and social outcomes, as well as elevate competitiveness of the northern provinces to fully support international conferences and conventions.

In addition, there was a discussion to exchange views from public and private sectors in issues of investment, technology, sustainability, as well as economic and trading systems under the concept “Turning CNX to Tech Business Event” to look into the future together and define ways for northern provinces to be a destination for business and technological events. There were also an exhibition area for more than 50 goods and services booths, a networking area for over 50 distributors to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, public agencies and companies to meet, exchange information, and enhance their cooperation to increase further opportunities for network building and market expansion for local entrepreneurs.
