เมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมผ่านช่องทางออนไลน์ในการประชุมคณะทำงานขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาย่านสร้างสรรค์ที่เป็นมิตรต่อนักเดินทางกลุ่มทำงานทางไกล (Nomad-Friendly District) ครั้งที่ 3/2569 ซึ่งจัดโดยสำนักงานการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยมีนายบุญลือ ธรรมธรานุรักษ์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เป็นประธาน และมีผู้แทนหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ ตำรวจภูธรจังหวัด สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัด ตำรวจท่องเที่ยว องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัด การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยประจำจังหวัด สำนักงานเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลเขตพื้นที่ภาคเหนือ และเครือข่ายขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาย่านสร้างสรรค์ฯ เข้าร่วม

ที่ประชุมติดตามความก้าวหน้าการพัฒนาย่านสันป่าข่อย–วัดเกต ให้เป็นพื้นที่ที่เป็นมิตรต่อนักเดินทางกลุ่มทำงานทางไกล โดยมีการดำเนินกิจกรรมด้านวัฒนธรรม อาหาร และการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่าง Nomad กับเยาวชนในชุมชน รวมถึงการเตรียมจัดอบรมผู้ประกอบการ Nomad-Friendly Business เพื่อยกระดับการให้บริการแก่กลุ่มดังกล่าว ทั้งยังพิจารณาการจัดประชุมนานาชาติภายใต้แนวคิด “Cosmo - Local CNX” รวมถึงการสนับสนุนโครงการ Pitching IDEA Chiang Mai และการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Colive Fukuoka ณ เมืองฟุกุโอกะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อขยายเครือข่ายและความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาให้เชียงใหม่เป็นจุดหมายปลายทางที่น่าสนใจสำหรับกลุ่ม Digital Nomad ระดับนานาชาติ

หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ ยินดีที่เห็นภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ให้ความสำคัญและจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อให้นักเดินทางกลุ่มทำงานทางไกลมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในพื้นที่ ตลอดจนสามารถสร้างประโยชน์ในการพัฒนาจังหวัดให้สามารถดูแลกลุ่มฯ ได้ครอบคลุมขึ้นและสร้างพื้นที่ร่วมกับชุมชนได้อย่างเป็นระบบ ทั้งนี้ สำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ พร้อมสนับสนุนการดำเนินการต่าง ๆ รวมถึงการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้สถานกงสุลใหญ่ สถานกงสุลใหญ่กิตติมศักดิ์ และสถานกงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ต่างประเทศในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ให้ได้รับทราบและชวนคนชาติของตนในพื้นที่มาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของจังหวัด

On 21 August 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, participated via a video conference in the 3/2569 Working Group Meeting to advance the Development of Creative Nomad-Friendly District, hosted by the Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Boonlue Thamtharanurak, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, and attended by representatives of relevant agencies, including Provincial Police, Provincial Immigration Office, Tourism Police, Provincial Administrative Organisation, Tourism Thailand Provincial Office, Northern Digital Enterprise Association (NDEA), and Thailand Creative District Network Provincial Office.

The meeting followed up on the development progress of the San Pa Khoi - Wat Ket District to be a nomad-friendly area through cultural and food activities, exchanges between nomads and youths in the area, as well as preparations for a training workshop for nomad-friendly business entrepreneurs to enhance services for digital nomads visiting Chiang Mai. The meeting also conferred about organising the Cosmo - Local CNX International Conference, supporting the Pitching IDEA Chiang Mai project, and attending the Colive Fukuoka event in Fukuoka, Japan, to expand networks and cooperation in developing Chiangmai to be an attractive international destination for digital nomads.

The Chief of Passport Office expressed appreciation in how public and private sectors in Chiang Mai have attached importance and organised activities to encourage interactions between visiting digital nomads and local communities, as well as managed to benefit from these visitors in the province’s development to comprehensively provide services more and systematically build a co-living space with the locals. She underscored the Office’s readiness to support relevant implementation, including informing foreign Consulates General, Honorary Consulates General, and Honorary Consulates in Chiang Mai to invite their citizens to participate in the province’s activities.
