เมื่อวันที่ 23 และ 24 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดและงานต้อนรับวิทยากรจากหลากหลายประเทศที่มาแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองในสัปดาห์กิจกรรมหลักของโครงการ “Cosmo Local CNX 2026” ที่อาคารอนุสาร สันป่าข่อย ซึ่งมีวัตุประสงค์เพื่อร่วมสร้างย่านที่เป็นมิตรต่อผู้ทำงานทางไกล (Digital Nomad Friendly District) และเชื่อมคนท้องถิ่นกับ digital nomads ในจังหวัดให้นำไปสู่การพัฒนาชุมชนและเมือง โดยมีผู้แทนจากทุกภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

กิจกรรมในช่วงสัปดาห์หลักจะเน้นการสำรวจความต้องการของชุมชนและความเชี่ยวชาญของกลุ่ม digital nomads ในจังหวัด การประยุกต์ใช้ AI ในการพัฒนาเมืองเชียงใหม่ ตอบโจทย์ผู้ประกอบการเดี่ยว (solopreneurs) การแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและอาหารถิ่นเพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศฉันมิตรในการพูดคุย รวมถึงการสร้างห้องปฏิบัติการอนาคตให้ digital nomads ได้ระดมสมองกับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียจากทุกภาคส่วนเพื่อสร้างเศรษฐกิจชุมชนที่มี nomads เป็นส่วนหนึ่งอย่างยั่งยืน เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ ทางจังหวัดหวังจะดึงดูดให้คนกลุ่มนี้เลือกมาพำนักที่เชียงใหม่เพราะความเป็นมิตรและการมีกิจกรรมแวดล้อมที่ดี มากกว่าแค่เป็นที่แวะพักอาศัย เพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายในการยกระดับเชียงใหม่ให้เป็นเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตและความสร้างสรรค์อย่างยั่งยืน

โครงการ Cosmo Local CNX 2026 เริ่มมาจากแนวคิดการบูรณาการเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ชุมชน digital nomads และเครือข่ายนานาชาติ ในการพัฒนาพื้นที่ทดลองย่านสันป่าข่อย - วัดเกต ให้เป็นย่านที่เป็นมิตรต่อทุกคน โดยสร้างพื้นที่ให้กลุ่ม digital nomads ได้ทำความรู้จักและเรียนรู้วิถีชีวิตของคนท้องถิ่น จับจ่ายใช้สอยในพื้นที่เพื่อกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจชุมชน ร่วมมีบทบาทในการพัฒนาคนและพื้นที่ผ่านการดำเนินกิจกรรมโดยใช้องค์ความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญที่มี ตลอดจนเชิญชวนเพื่อนร่วมอาชีพจากทั่วโลกให้เลือกเชียงใหม่เป็นสถานที่ทำงานระยะยาวต่อไป

On 23 and 24 September 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, participated in the opening ceremony and a welcoming event for panelists from many countries, who came to exchange views during the main activity week of the project “Cosmo Local CNX 2026” at the Anusarn San Pa Khoi building. The project’s objectives are to jointly establish a Digital Nomad Friendly District and connect local communities with digital nomads in the province, which would lead to community and city development. In attendance were representatives from all relevant sectors.

Activities during the main week will focus on surveying demands of the communities and expertise of digital nomads residing in the province, adapting AI towards Chinag Mai’s city development, welcoming solopreneurs, cultural exchange and local food potluck to create a friendly environment for conversations, as well as establishing a Nomad Futures Lab for digital nomads to brainstorm with various stakeholders from all sectors towards sustainable, community-integrated nomad economies. In this regard, the province hopes to attract more digital nomads to choose Chiang Mai as their working destination due to friendliness and continuous positive activities, more than just a a brief stop along their journey, with a goal to elevate Chiang Mai to be a sustainable life-long learning and creative city.

The Cosmo Local CNX 2026 project was initiated from a strategic integration between public agencies, businesses, communities, digital nomads, and multinational networks to cultivate a flagship area of San Pa Khoi - Wat Khet to be a neighbourhood that is friendly to all. This could be done through establishing an area for digital nomads to get to know the locals and learn their lifestyles, buy local to boost local economy, play more roles in human resource and area development through activities using their knowledge and skills, as well as invite their nomad friends from around the world to also choose Chiang Mai as their long-tern working space.
