เมื่อวันที่ 29 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมงานวันประกาศอิสรภาพอินเดีย ปีที่ 80 ซึ่งจัดโดยสถานกงสุลใหญ่สาธารณรัฐอินเดียประจำจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยมีนายประณพ คเณศ กงสุลใหญ่สาธารณรัฐอินเดียประจำจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และภริยา เป็นประธานในงาน และมีนายรัฐพล นราดิศร ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พร้อมนายกเหล่ากาชาดจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ กงสุลใหญ่และกงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ต่างประเทศในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ รวมถึงผู้แทนระดับสูงของภาคเอกชน ภาควิชาการ และภาคประชาสังคมเข้าร่วม

จังหวัดเชียงใหม่มีความสัมพันธ์ที่แน่นแฟ้นและความร่วมมือกับอินเดียในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว การศึกษา ศิลปวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างประชาชน โดยเป็นหนึ่งในพื้นที่สำคัญที่มีชุมชนชาวอินเดีย รวมถึงนักท่องเที่ยวและผู้ประกอบการจากอินเดียเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการขับเคลื่อนกิจกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมอย่างต่อเนื่อง งานในครั้งนี้จึงเป็นทั้งการแสดงความยินดีต่อวันสำคัญของอินเดีย และเป็นโอกาสในการสานต่อมิตรภาพ ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยน และกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างจังหวัดเชียงใหม่กับอินเดีย พร้อมต่อยอดความร่วมมือระหว่างทุกภาคส่วนในด้านต่าง ๆ เพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกันของทั้งสองฝ่าย

On 29 August 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, participated in the reception celebrating the 80th Independence Day of India hosted by the Consulate-General of India in Chiang Mai. Mr. Pranav Ganesh, Consul-General of India in Chiang Mai, presided over the reception and in attendance were Mr. Rattanaphon Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai, President of Chiang Mai Provincial Red Cross Chapter, Chiefs of provincial offices, foreign Consuls-General and Honorary Consuls in Chiang Mai, as well as high-level reprentatives of private, academic and civil society sectors.

Chiang Mai province has close relations and cooperation with India in multiple dimensions, including economy, trade, investment, tourism, education, arts and culture, as well as people-to-people exchanges. Chiang Mai is one of significant areas that Indian communities, tourists and entrepreneurs have continuously contributed to promote economic and social activitites. This event was therefore an opportunity to congratulate India on its special occasion, enhance friendships, promote exchanges and strengthen cordial relations between Chiang Mai and India. This would also advance cooperation between all sectors in various areas for the mutual benefits of both sides.
