เมื่อวันที่ 24 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมงาน Halal Street Food ซึ่งร่วมจัดโดยสมาคมธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดเชียงใหม่และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการอิสลามประจำจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ที่ลานหน้าโรงแรม Icon Park Hotel Chiang Mai โดยมีนายรัฐพล นราดิศร ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เป็นประธานเปิดโครงการ และมีหัวหน้าสำนักงานต่าง ๆ ของจังหวัดร่วมพิธีเปิด

ผู้ว่าราชการฯ กล่าวว่า จังหวัดเชียงใหม่เป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวระดับนานาชาติที่มีความโดดเด่นทั้งในด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม ประเพณี วิถีชีวิต อาหาร และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ พร้อมต้อนรับนักท่องเที่ยวจากทั่วโลกภายใต้แนวคิดของการเป็นเมืองที่เปิดกว้าง เคารพความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม รวมถึงรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวทุกศาสนา ทุกเชื้อชาติ และทุกวิถีชีวิต ซึ่งการจัดงานในครั้งนี้จะช่วยส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของเชียงใหม่ในฐานะเมืองท่องเที่ยวคุณภาพที่เป็นมิตรกับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวมุสลิมและสร้างโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจให้กับผู้ประกอบการในพื้นที่อย่างยั่งยืน

โครงการนี้จัดขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อยกระดับให้เชียงใหม่เป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะจุดหมายปลายทางที่เป็นมิตรกับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวมุสลิม ผ่านการประชาสัมพันธ์ร้านอาหารฮาลาลที่ได้มาตรฐานของจังหวัด ซึ่งจะสร้างเสริมความเชื่อมั่นด้านการท่องเที่ยว ทั้งยังกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจและการใช้จ่ายในท้องถิ่น โดยภายในงานมีร้านอาหารฮาลาลกว่า 20 บูธ ทั้งนี้ ผู้จัดมีแผนจัดกิจกรรมนี้ต่อเนื่องไปจนถึงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2570 โดยในช่วง Green Season (กรกฎาคม - ตุลาคม) จะจัดทุกวันศุกร์สุดท้ายของเดือน และในช่วง High Season (พฤศจิกายน - กุมภาพันธ์) จะจัดทุกวันศุกร์

On 24 July 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, participated in the “Halal Street Food” event co-organised by the Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association and the Provincial Islamic Council of Chiang Mai, at an open court in front of the Icon Park Hotel Chiang Mai. Mr. Rattanaphon Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai, presided over the opening ceremony, while chiefs of other provincial offices were also in attendance.

The Governor underscored that Chiang Mai is an international tourist destination with outstanding characteristics, including arts, cultures, traditions, lifestyles, food and natural resources. The province is ready to welcome tourists from around the world with the concept of being open to all, respect cultural diversity, and receive tourists of all religions, race and lifestyles. This event is aimed to enhance Chiang Mai’s image as a quality and friendly tourist destination to muslim tourists, as well as sustainably create opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

This project is organised with an objective to elevate Chaing Mai to be a recognised destination friendly to muslim tourists through promoting capable local halal restaurants. It will strengthen tourism trust, as well as boost the economy and spending in the province. There are more than 20 halal food booths at the event. The organisers plan to continue this activity until February 2027: every last Friday of the month during the green season (July - October) and every Friday during the high season (October - February).
