เมื่อวันที่ 13 กันยายน 2568 อธิบดีกรมการกงสุลและคณะได้เดินทางเยือนนอร์เวย์เพื่อเข้าร่วมงานสัมมนาสตรีไทยสากลภาคพื้นยุโรปครั้งที่ 9 จัดขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อ “พลังสตรีไทยในยุโรป: ยกระดับขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมไทยในต่างแดน” โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโล และสมาชิกสมาคมสตรีไทยสากลภาคพื้นยุโรปและผู้แทนสมาคมฯ ประเทศต่าง ๆ เข้าร่วมงานประมาณ 100 คน ทั้งนี้ งานสัมมนาฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการรวมกลุ่มของสตรีไทยในภูมิภาคยุโรปเพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายในการประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคประชาสังคม รวมถึงหน่วยงานท้องถิ่นของนอร์เวย์
ในโอกาสนี้ อธิบดีกรมการกงสุลได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษเกี่ยวกับภารกิจของกรมการกงสุลด้านการคุ้มครองดูแลและเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชนไทยในต่างประเทศ การพัฒนาระบบให้บริการออนไลน์ต่าง ๆ (e-Services) และความท้าทายของกรมการกงสุลและชุมชนไทยในต่างประเทศเพื่อจะทำให้คนไทยรุ่นใหม่ที่เกิดหรือเติบโตในต่างประเทศ (Second Generation) ยังคงมีส่วนร่วมในการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชนไทยในต่างประเทศ
นอกจากนี้ คณะกรมการกงสุลและผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโล ได้เข้านมัสการพระราชวชิรศาสนวิเทศ เจ้าอาวาสวัดไทยนอร์เวย์และประธานสหภาพพระธรรมทูตไทยในทวีปยุโรป รวมทั้งพบปะชุมชนไทยในนอร์เวย์ โดยกรมการกงสุลพร้อมสนับสนุนวัดไทยนอร์เวย์ในการจัดกิจกรรมที่เป็นประโยชน์ด้านประเพณีวัฒนธรรมของไทยและการช่วยเหลือชุมชนไทยในนอร์เวย์ อาทิ การส่งเสริมหลักสูตรการสอนภาษาไทยของศูนย์ภาษาและวัฒนธรรมไทย การสอนดนตรีและนาฏศิลป์ไทยให้แก่เยาวชนไทย และการเป็นศูนย์กลาง/ศูนย์รวมด้านจิตใจของชุมชนไทยในนอร์เวย์

Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs and Delegation attend the 9th International Thai Women’s Day Conference and meet Thai community in Norway
On 13 September 2025, the Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs delivered a keynote speech at the 9th International Thai Women’s Day Conference under the theme “Empowering Thai Women in Europe: Accelerating Action through Soft Power.” The event was attended by over 100 participants, including H.E. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, as well as members and representatives from various Thai clubs across Europe. The conference aimed to encourage the organization and empowerment of Thai women in Europe, and to build networks and foster collaboration among government agencies, civil society, and local authorities in Norway.
The speech on this occasion, the Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs delivered hightlighting the Department’s key missions, including the protection of Thai nationals abroad, the strengthening of Thai communities overseas, the development of consular e-Services, the challenges of Thai community integration in modern society, and the Department’s efforts to encourage the new generation of Thais (Second Generation), who were born or raised overseas, to participate in strengthening Thai communities abroad.
In addition, Director-General together with a representative from the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo, paid respects to Phra Ratwachirasatsanavithes of Wat Thai Norway and Chairman of the Union of Thai Sanghas in Europe, and also met with members of Thai community. In this regard, the DG affirmed the commitment to supporting Wat Thai Norway in organizing Thai cultural events for Thai community in Norway, such as promoting Thai language curriculum, traditional Thai music and dance to Thai youth, and supporting Wat Thai Norway as a protection or care center for Thai community in Norway.
