เมื่อวันที่ 23 ตุลาคม 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดเทศกาลภาพยนตร์ไอริช 2569 (2026 Irish Film Festival) ที่โรงภาพยนตร์ SFX เมญ่า เชียงใหม่ โดยมีนาง Nora Delaney เอกอัครราชทูตไอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย เป็นประธาน และมีนายบุญลือ ธรรมธรานุรักษ์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ นางสาวแอนเน็ต ขุณิกากรณ์ กงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ไอร์แลนด์ประจำเชียงใหม่ พร้อมผู้แทนหน่วยงานหลายภาคส่วนและสื่อมวลชนเข้าร่วมงาน

เทศกาลภาพยนตร์ไอริชเป็นกิจกรรมสำคัญของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ที่มุ่งเผยแพร่ศิลปะการเล่าเรื่อง ผู้กำกับที่มีความสามารถ และผลงานที่โดดเด่น รวมถึงประชาสัมพันธ์เอกลักษณ์ของวัฒนธรรม ประวัติศาสตร์ วิถีชีวิต และมุมมองทางสังคมของไอร์แลนด์ให้เป็นที่รู้จักในวงกว้าง อันเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการกระชับความสัมพันธ์และส่งเสริมความเข้าใจระหว่างประชาชนไทยกับไอร์แลนด์ ทั้งยังเปิดโอกาสให้คนเชียงใหม่และนักท่องเที่ยวมีกิจกรรมทางเลือกที่สร้างสรรค์ โดยผู้สนใจสามารถเข้าชมฟรี ระหว่างวันที่ 23 - 25 ตุลาคม 2569

On 23 October 2026, Ms. Napamas Panaytrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 Irish Film Festival at the SFX Cinema MAYA Chiangmai. The event was presided over by H.E. Ms. Nora Delaney, Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand, and in attendance were Mr. Boonlue Thamtharanurak, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, Mrs. Annette Kunigagon, Honorary Consul of Ireland in Chiang Mai, representative from various agencies across sectors, and members of the press.

The 2026 Irish Film Festival is an important activity organised by the Embassy of Ireland to Thailand with aims to inform about Irish ways of story-telling, talented producers, and notable pieces, as well as to promote unique charactors of Ireland’s culture, history, lifestyles, and social viewpoints to a wider audience. This is believed to strengthen relations and enhance mutual understanding between the peoples of Thailand and Ireland, and create opportunities for residents and tourists in Chiang Mai to have an alternative, creative activity.
