เมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวนภามาศ ปัญญาตรง หัวหน้าสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางฯ เชียงใหม่ เข้าร่วมการหารือระหว่างนายศิวกร บัวป้อง รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ กับ ดร. Alona Fisher-Kamm เอกอัครราชทูตอิสราเอลประจำประเทศไทย ที่ศาลากลางจังหวัดเชียงใหม่

ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างจังหวัดเชียงใหม่กับอิสราเอลในหลากหลายมิติ ซึ่งรวมถึงด้านเศรษฐกิจ วิชาการ การท่องเที่ยว การควบคุมและดูแลความปลอดภัยบริเวณชายแดน เทคโนโลยี การเกษตร แรงงาน การป้องกันภัยทางไซเบอร์ และความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชน โดยรองผู้ว่าฯ กล่าวว่า จังหวัดเชียงใหม่พร้อมเดินหน้ายกระดับความสัมพันธ์กับอิสราเอลและผลักดันความร่วมมือในสาขาที่มีประโยชน์ร่วมกันอย่างต่อเนื่อง ขณะที่เอกอัครราชทูตอิสราเอลฯ ย้ำความพร้อมของอิสราเอลในการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีในสาขาที่อิสราเอลมีความเชี่ยวชาญ โดยเฉพาะการประยุกต์ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) ในภาคการเกษตร การจัดการสาธารณภัย ความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ และความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาของทั้งสองประเทศ

นอกจากนี้ื รองผู้ว่าฯ ย้ำความพร้อมของภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องในการดูแลความปลอดภัยและอำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักท่องเที่ยวและชาวต่างชาติทุกเชื้อชาติในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่อย่างเท่าเทียม ขณะที่เอกอัครราชทูตอิสราเอลฯ ขอบคุณที่จังหวัดช่วยดูแลชุมชนชาวอิสราเอลในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และยืนยันว่า อิสราเอลให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวอย่างรับผิดชอบ โดยสร้างความเข้าใจให้นักท่องเที่ยวอิสราเอลเคารพวัฒนธรรมไทยและรับทราบแนวทางการปฏิบัติตนอย่างเหมาะสมระกว่างพำนักในประเทศไทย ทั้งยังยืนยันการดูแลและความปลอดภัยของแรงงานไทยในอิสราเอลประมาณ 65,000 คน ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ทำงานในภาคเกษตรกรรม แม้จะมีสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งในภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางในปัจจุบัน

On 17 September 2026, Ms. Napamas Panyatrong, Chief of Chiang Mai Passport Office, participated in a discussion between Mr. Siwakorn Buapong, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, and Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, at Chiang Mai Provincial Hall.

Both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation between Chiang Mai province and Israel across various dimensions, including economy, academia, tourism, border safety control and management, agriculture, labour, cyber safety prevention, and people-to-ple relations. The Deputy Governor underscored that Chiang Mai is ready to enhance the relations with Israel and continue to advance cooperation in mutually beneficial areas. The Israeli Ambassador reiterated Israel’s readiness to exchange knowledge and technology in areas that Israel has expetise in, especially AI adaptation in agriculture, disaster management, cyber security, and cooperation between academic institutions of the two countries.

In addition, the Deputy Governor emphasized relevant sectors’ readiness in equally proving safety and facilitating tourists and foreigners regardless of their nationalities in Chiang Mai. The Israeli Ambassador expressed appreciation that the province has taken good care of Israeli communities in Chiang Mai and stressed that Israel attaches importance to promote responsible tourism. She ensured that she has promoted understanding for Israeli tourists to respect Thai cultures and awareness of appropriate behaviours during their stay in Thailand. She also reaffirmed good care and safety for approximately 65,000 Thai workers in Israel, who mainly work in the agricultural sector, amidst current conflicts in the Middle East.
