เมื่อวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2567 นายมาริษ เสงี่ยมพงษ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ตรวจเยี่ยมสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางชั่วคราว นครราชสีมา ณ ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลนครราชสีมา โดยมีนายเบญจมินทร์ สุกาญจนัจที รองอธิบดีกรมการกงสุล และนายวิชชเยนทร์ สุรพลพิเชษฐ์ หัวหน้าสำนักงานฯ ให้การต้อนรับ
รัฐมนตรีฯ เน้นย้ำนโยบายการทูตเพื่อประชาชน และการพัฒนาโดยเฉพาะการให้บริการที่สะดวก รวดเร็ว เข้าถึงง่าย แม้ปัจจุบันมีเสียงชื่นชมจากประชาชน แต่จำเป็นต้องประเมินและพัฒนางานอย่างต่อเนื่องโดยมีประชาชนเป็นศูนย์กลาง งานกงสุลเป็นเรื่องใกล้ตัวและเป็นบริการด่านหน้าที่เชื่อมโยงคนไทยกับต่างประเทศ โดยหนังสือเดินทางเป็นเหมือนประตูไปสู่ต่างประเทศ กรมการกงสุลต้องให้ข้อมูลและคำแนะนำแก่คนไทยเพื่อเป็นเครื่องมือในการใช้ชีวิตในต่างแดนอย่างปลอดภัย ไม่ตกเป็นเหยื่อของกระบวนการค้ามนุษย์หรือถูกหลอกไปทำงานในต่างประเทศ ดังนั้นต้องทำงานเชิงรุกและเน้นการประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านช่องทางต่าง ๆ
ในโอกาสนี้ รัฐมนตรีฯ ให้กำลังใจแก่เจ้าหน้าที่ โดยเน้นย้ำบทบาทสำคัญของสำนักงานฯ เพื่อช่วยขับเคลื่อนนโยบายการทูตเศรษฐกิจซึ่งจะต้องทำงานเป็นทีมและให้ความร่วมมือแก่สำนักงานจังหวัดและหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชน ช่วยสร้างโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจ และดูแลผลประโยชน์ของคนไทย
สำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางชั่วคราว นครราชสีมา ตั้งอยู่ที่ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลนครราชสีมา ชั้น 3 เปิดบริการวันจันทร์-ศุกร์ (ยกเว้นวันหยุดราชการ) เวลา 09.00 – 17.00 น. (ไม่หยุดพักกลางวัน/ปิดรับคิว 16.30 น.)

The Foreign Minister emphasized consular service improvement during his visit to the Nakhon Ratchasima Temporary Passport Office
On 1 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Nakhon Ratchasima Temporary Passport Office at Central Nakhon Ratchasima, where he was welcomed by Mr. Benjamin Sukanjanajtee, Deputy Director-General of Consular Department and Mr. Wijayane Surapolbhichet, Chief of the Nakhon Ratchasima Temporary Passport Office.
The Minister gave policy direction that people diplomacy should guide how consular services be provided to Thai people -- with speed, convenience, and easy to access. He stressed the need to continuously evaluate and improve consular services despite public positive feedback. Consular affairs are related to people’s life as gateway to the world. Passports open door to foreign countries, so it is important to equip Thai passport holders with information and travel advisory so that they stay safe aboard and not fall prey to human trafficking schemes or job scamming. Proactive outreach efforts through various channels are key in this regard.
On this occasion, the Minister talked to the staff to boost their morale, highlighting an important role of the Passport Office in driving economic diplomacy policy. He emphasized the spirit of teamwork and the need to work closely with the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Office, other government agencies, and the private sector, to help uplift the well-being of the people, promote new economic opportunities, and serve the interests of Thai nationals.
The Nakhon Ratchasima Temporary Passport Office is located at Central Nakhon Ratchasima, 3rd Floor, and opens from Monday-Friday (except official holidays), at 09.00 - 17.00 hrs.
