เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2569 อธิบดีกรมการกงสุลเป็นประธานร่วมกับ นาย Eliyahu Yifrach รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแห่งรัฐอิสราเอล (ดูแลภารกิจด้านการกงสุล) ในการประชุมหารือด้านการกงสุล อิสราเอล - ไทย ครั้งที่ 1 ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศแห่งรัฐอิสราเอล นครเยรูซาเล็ม รัฐอิสราเอล โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ และอัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายแรงงาน) ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเทลอาวีฟ เข้าร่วมการประชุมฯ ดังกล่าวด้วย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือในประเด็นต่าง ๆ เกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านการกงสุล อาทิ การคุ้มครองและดูแลคนชาติ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการดูแลสภาพการทำงานและสวัสดิการแรงงานไทย การเคลื่อนย้ายคนไทยในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน และความช่วยเหลือด้านกงสุลสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวอิสราเอลในประเทศไทย นอกจากนี้ ที่ประชุมรับทราบถึงสถานะล่าสุดของการเจรจาความตกลงระหว่างรัฐบาลแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทยและรัฐบาลแห่งรัฐอิสราเอล ว่าด้วยการจ้างแรงงานไทยทำงานชั่วคราวในภาคตลาดแรงงานเฉพาะในรัฐอิสราเอล
ในปี 2568 มีนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอิสราเอลเดินทางมาไทยประมาณ 410,000 คน และปัจจุบัน มีคนไทยประมาณ 62,000 คน พำนักอยู่ในอิสราเอล

Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs co-chaired the inaugural Israel – Thailand Consular Dialogue in Israel
On 7 July 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs co-chaired the 1st Israel - Thailand Consular Dialogue with, H.E. Mr. Eliyahu Yifrach, Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel in Jerusalem, the State of Israel. Ambassador of Thailand to Israel and Minister Counsellor, Office of Labour Affairs, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv, also attended the meeting.
Both sides discussed several consular cooperation issues, including the protection and support for own nationals, particularly on Thai workers’ working conditions and welfare, the relocation of Thai nationals during emergency situations, and the well-being and consular assistance available to Israeli visitors in Thailand. An
update on the progress towards the bilateral framework agreement on labour cooperation between the two countries was also noted at the meeting.
According to 2025 statistics, approximately 410,000 Israeli tourists visited Thailand. Currently, approximately 62,000 Thai nationals reside in Israel.
